In December of 2021, the residents of the Oriskany Central School District approved a $13 million Capital Improvements Project. The project was broken up into two phases. The first being the construction of a new Transportation Facility located on the property of the District Office and the second phase being renovations to the JR. / SR. High School and Elementary School.
New Transportation Facility
Construction of the new transportation facility began in December of 2022 and a ribbon cutting ceremony was held October 17th, 2023. The new facility is conveniently located across the street from the High School, behind the District Office and adjacent to the existing bus storage facility. The 5,000 SF building includes a vehicle maintenance bay, vehicle wash bay and administrative support spaces, including a large drivers room.
JR. / SR. High School & Elementary School
Construction at the two school buildings is underway and expected to be completed in the fall of 2024. Renovations include upgrades to most classrooms in both buildings, renovations and modernization to the High School library, and a complete renovation and reorganization of the High School kitchen and cafeteria suite.
