This was a comprehensive renovation/alteration project that included major improvements to the site and building.
The building improvements included the construction of an elevator to serve the original building, masonry reconstruction, window and door replacement, and re-roofing. Interior work comprised of space changes to accommodate educational programs; doors were replaced and classrooms reconfigured to provide technology upgrades; new lockers and finishes throughout; and ADA toilet rooms were created to supplement the existing group toilet rooms. Improvements were also made to the kitchen and the existing mechanical and electrical systems were replaced. The sitework component expanded the parking and provided ADA compliant playscape equipment.
The Gansevoort "Gators" now show pride in their school with colors of Green and Yellow emanating around the facility.
